I should do a study on Moses some day. My life keeps coming back to him and I need to make sure I don’t take his life out of context. That said…

I have always thought the Israelites were sort of…well…not smart. I’m sure there are better words to use to describe them. 2 interrelated things stand out.

One. God showed them the way. Pillar and cloud. All they needed to do was trust and follow. I’m sure there was work to do. And I’m sure they wondered where and why God was taking them.  They had to do their part. Not really difficult. It had mostly to do with obedience. Simple…right?

Two. In spite of the signs, wonders and overall leading, they constantly chose their own path which always led to destruction.

Why do I so relate with them?
