A couple of good intentions this weekend gone bad. First, Costco. So, I sent Dan to Costco because they had a coupon for the contact solution we use. Last day for the coupon. So, we split the responsibilities and she went to Costco, I went to Wal-Mart. So, they called, out of solution. Ok, get a raincheck and we’ll be fine. Dean comes home and then later says, “you know, I forgot to give them the coupons.” I had asked her to get a few things that we didn’t necessarily “need”, but with a coupon, they were a bit more affordable. No coupons. Forgot the raincheck. Yeah.

And then, there’s the sewer pipe. Do we do it ourselves or have it done? Well, because I know people and because I like a challenge, we go ahead with the “ourselves” plan. We get started late on Saturday. The backhoe gets stuck. We spend an enormous amount of time trying to unstick it. In the process, I do something to my ankle (torn ligaments perhaps?) which now puts me out of commission. The backhoe is now broken. We have to rent another and try to get this done. In the end, it might still be less expensive than having it done. We’ll see what the ankle does to setback the costs on that.

So, someone asked me at church about my bad week. My nephew wrecked my car, the sewer, etc. I guess I hadn’t even considered it a bad week! All “spice of life” to me. Happy Monday!
