What relevance is time, the actual ticking of the clock, to God? If I feel God will show me HIs plan in a given time and place, then, time MUST be relevance to Him. In reading from True Spirituality, the author (Francis Schaeffer) talks about Jesus death happening in a specific date and time in history. Can I therefore conclude that time is relevant to God?

So, you ask, why wouldn’t time be relevant to God? I guess it’s hard for me to understand. He’s the Creator of the Universe. He has always been and will forever will be… Why would He be concerned about time? Yet, there are tons of references TO time in the Bible. Lots of specific dates times and places in history.

If “time” has been hard on someone, how do I respond to that? If someone is just “biding” their time, what’s my response? When someone gets tired of waiting (implying time) on God, what about that? As God tells me to “wait” from time-to-time (!), I certainly get first hand experience that time does, matter to God. And the oft-used Christian phrase, “all in God’s time…” Is that a crutch for our procrastination or lack of follow-thru or some other excuse?
