We bought an iMac a few weeks ago to replace my old and dead 12“ PowerBook G4. In the process, we accidently bought the wrong iMac, had to return it the next day and got the right one. Of course, the new one was more costly s we decided to get he one with wireless keyboard and mouse. Apple offered a $100 rebate on the purchase of a computer with printer (which cost $100, so, in essence, it’s free). In the jungle of the mis-purchased iMac and subsequent return and repurchase, we actually submitted two rebate forms for the printer and actually got 2 $100 checks!
So, a call to Apple to make sure we wouldn’t have to return the money if we deposited it. The gal saw the two rebate checks, and told me that she would make one of them invalid. So, had I deposited them, would they have caught it? ”Thanks for being so honest“ was the reply.
Was really never ”mine“, so, I shouldn’t be sad.
