Richard and I chatted a bit this AM. We talked about several things, including funkhouse. He mentioned that it seemed like there were many distractions. How right you are! Maybe we can get past those distractions. How does one deal with that? Do I deal with distractions by hitting them head on until they go away? Do I act like they aren’t even there? Do I allow many irons in the fire or do I try to reverse that thinking and do more concentrating? Can I “focus” on more then one thing at a time?
No, I can’t.
But that doesn’t mean that I can’t have several thing going, it just means, that at any given time, I can only focus on one thing. So, that means, I need to determine (pick here buddy!) the one thing I’m going to do for the next few given minutes, and then do that. Period. And, of course, be willing to change if the situation deems it so. But, having the wisdom to understand if that situation is a distraction or something that needs to be dealt with… God, give me wisdom!
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
