So, struggling, always struggling with decisions. today? It’s what to do about computers and pickups. My old 12“ PBG4 died officially. Was a greta machine. Many consider it ”the“ Mac laptop. Small, functional, powerful. It served us well fro nearly 5 years. But died, So, we ”regress“ back to an older iMac G3. Put $50 of batteries and memory into it. Now it looks like the power supply is dead. No more $ to spend on that.
So, now what? A 18 month ”old“ refurbed iMac is a great option. But, Dean has an issue with buying old technology. The extra $ we spend now is insurance against future failure. She has a point. And, this computer is for her anyway. Well, her and the kids. Yuk. I’m not the most frugal at all. But, why buy ”new’ when the refurbed one is 80% what the new one is but 2/3 the cost?
So, we’re in holding pattern for the next few hours. She wants to head to the Apple Store this evening and solve it. I want to try to fix the old iMac G3! Oh the fun of life!
So, what about pickups? Yeah, I still want to get a pickup. So, what will it be? A pickup or a computer? We’ll do “the Funk thing” and most likely end up with both.
