So, we sit here on my first day on the job. My email being scanned for anything unusual (howdy tech guys!). Don’t have internet yet, but when I do, Big Brother is watching. I’m at a typical office cubicle. Florescent lights. Beige and gray office furniture. A POS Dell desktop with a beige Sony 15” CRT monitor manufactured in 1999 and a Sony gray keyboard. At least I like Sony. I stare at a wall, no windows. It’s hot. It’s soooo uninspiring. Not really sure of my place. I’m somewhere between wondering if it was more depressing to be doing what I wanted without getting paid, unemployed doing nothing and not getting paid, or sitting here wondering about the future. I did get to help Gary work on an Excel spreadsheet. And Mike is really nice. Looking forward to the CES show next week. And, perhaps, with God’s help, we can overcome the lack of inspiration. OK, so first days are typically rough. And, overall, there seems to be a future here. I will (try not to!) vacillate as I typically do. God, we need to look forward. And just as Dean’s letter said this AM, all things are ordained by You. Not sure where this is headed. Here we go…
