We talked. We ate. We talked some more. Lunch is over. Hal and Gary talked about the job. Without them stressing it but saying it anyway, the job entails more traveling and more cold sales calling than what I thought. Not that that’s bad (necessarily). I think I could handle and even enjoy much of the work. I’m finding that typically, I end up enjoying most everything I put my mind/energies into. Except, perhaps, cleaning CBC when we did so several years ago. I hated that. They talked about the process, I’m there to help the Rep. in the field. I try to get them to sell more of our stuff. I try to get them new business. They are taking steps to put more into MSE Audio. And I like that. I never referred (physically) to any of my prepared documents. I asked about salary and they didn’t have anything figured out yet. (UGGHHH!!!). Except, that the Regional Sales Mgrs. in the past weren’t commission based and mine would be (with a base salalry). And a strange performance based commission, not across the board or anything. Might be lucrative. Might not be!

I then dropped the BGI offer on them. They asked what I would need. I said $60K for starters. They asked how soon I needed to let them know. I said, “soon.” “Like, 24 hours? Middle of next week?” Well, Monday, perhaps. (Ok, I should have said that I needed to know this afternoon. Seemed a bit demanding at the time). I figure BGI can (possibly) wait until Monday. Or, we make the decision and then take care of it from there.

I’ve been praying for clear-cut guidance. The only thing I got, was a Corvette. And perhaps that was enough.
