not so fake – the $416.21 experiment
Without going into much personal detail in this public, albeit little read forum, the idea of being a male in a female dominated world has crumbled. At least in the interior design field. Or, at least for now. Or, at least in formal training, at least for now… Gotta leave room for options in the future. Though, the future is becoming clearer in a “wiping the rain from the windshield only to find you are in a dense fog” sort of way.
I had enrolled in the class, and, since i enrolled so late, my options for deciding to NOT take the class after all were limited. Once I enrolled, I made that commitment, at least the financial office sees it that way. So, I can “drop” the class without it appearing on my transcript. As if that really matters (at least at this point). But, I still owe the tuition, even though I haven’t even paid it yet. So, unless I want debt collectors on my tail, I pay the tuition to NOT take the class.
Fortunately I hadn’t bought the book or materials yet… oh wait, I did.
So, I could have spent that $416.21 in so many other ways. In fact, I debated that very thought prior to enrolling. But, I decided to take a step.
And got my foot cut off in the process.
What good is taking a step when your foot is now missing to prevent you from taking other steps in the future.
Perhaps if I went into healthcare, I could fix my ailing foot.
