Was talking with someone recently about some church stuff. We were discussing the church capital campaign and some things surrounding that project. I was talking about how going one direction felt a little self centered while going a different direction somehow felt purposeful. To which he remarked. “it seems like our church has no passionate mission.”
Hmm. I agree. How do you change that? We have a vision statement and the pastor is doing a great job encouraging people to actually live out that vision. And yet, it seems more like an obligation rather than a passionate mission. Maybe I’m wrong here. I certainly don’t know the mind and hearts of everyone. So maybe it’s just me. Or is it?
