I had some pretty vivid dream a couple of nights ago. And, of course, they were my recurring dreams. Tabor and tornados.

The tornado dream was fascinating. Was in a house overlooking a valley with a river running through it. Massive amounts of lightning were striking the river valley below. Beautiful and powerful. Massive swirling winds. We were standing on the outside balcony and the light from the house and the surrounding lightning created this beautiful atmosphere. And of course, a tornado shows up. We decide to go downstairs and inside. Once we got there, the “beautiful” part of the storm was replace by the sheer ugliness of the realities of the storm. Once again, fear was nowhere to be found. And there were no reports of any inclement weather on the local TV station either. The tornado seemed to bearing down upon us and I wanted to take cover. Someone in the room suggested that it would miss us. And it did, by mere feet.

What compelled me most about the dream was the lightning. So, off to the dream interpretation:

To see lightning in your dream, signifies sudden awareness, insight, spiritual revelation, truth and purification. Alternatively, lightning implies a shocking turn of events. There are many forces governing your life that may be beyond your control and even destructive.

Hmm. Shocking turn of events? Is this foreshadowing or retrospective?

So what about the tornado?

To see a tornado in your dream, suggests that you are experiencing some extreme emotional outbursts and temper tantrums. Is there a situation or relationship in your life that may be potentially destructive?

Really? I’ve dreamed about tornados for as long as I remember dreaming. Maybe it’s my way to “get it out” and I do it via dreams rather than “real life”.

And then, of course, Tabor. I was walking through a field. And cam across this long metal shaft with wheels attached that had spikes in them. Apparently, the grass turf farmers used this to aerate their fields. The wind would cause it to blow across the field and it was placed in a way that it would come to rest at the farmer’s house. All by itself. I followed the implement until it came to rest at the hose which was at a fork in the road. Not knowing what to do next, I turn around and decided to take the other path. And then, there before me was the new Tabor football stadium. It was a part of a complex of buildings that included some veery old structures that had been used by the school in the past.

It’s hard to describe, but the setting was majestic and lonely and serene; the only structure around with no trees or other buildings surrounding it. I walked into the stadium to explore what was going on and then I don’t remember… Seems that a practice of some sort was going on. Maybe marching band?!

Pretty impressive overall. And vivd.
