The problem with problems is that they never go away until they are solved. And by solved, I mean solved. I’ve never really understood the alcoholic or drug addict who tries to escape their problems. Escapism only puts off the inevitable and often, makes the problem worse. So, why do I do the same thing? I don’t drink or take drugs, but, there are things I escape through the magic power (addiction?) of procrastination. It’s never solved until it’s solved.
As noted, there are times when that magic “pays” off. However, we’re finding that to be more of the exception. Time to face reality.
