It’s wedding season. Been to 2 in the last 2 weeks. Nice way to kill a Saturday. But, I digress already…

Interesting to me how the “old guard” feels the need to pass on all this “doom and gloom” advice. I hear this a lot, “and when you have troubles, and you’re GOING to have troubles…” I know, they probably need to hear that. But, I think it mostly serves to give the “old guard” the opportunity to say “I told you so” later in life. But, I think it can be too much. Do they really need to hear that?

We met with a young couple about a year ago and they told us that their pastor had told them that the first year is going to be really rough. Maybe the worst year of their lives. Really? Is that good advice? Whose interests does that ultimately serve?

I could go on, but, I think I’ve made my point.

I pray you have a blessed many years of fun and joy, Steven and Amy!
