They say that when one of your senses is compromised, your other senses become more heightened. So, when one loses full functionality of an eye, you would think you could at least “get by” with life in a productive way.
That is, until life throws a curve.
The ankle fracture led to knee pain which causes movement to be challenged. No problem, I’ll just stay stationary and build some stuff. But, that requires detailed vision.
Ugh.
Maybe I’ll have the kids help do some stuff. So, we plan to work in/on the basement. A “week of work” generally turned into one afternoon. Enough to just make going down there a total frustration with little hope to rectify the situation. I predicted this. Unfortunately, the prediction came true.
So, I’ll sit down and do computer work. If I hold my head just right, looking through readers I can make out the screen. Barely. Well, that is as long as the computer stays working. And, of course, it didn’t.
No ability to do constructive things. Little help to, well, help. And time just keeps ticking.
What’s that I hear? Water dripping from the ceiling? Yes! The air conditioner is leaking.
Fun times.
