So, I’m finding that it’s all just about selling widgets. The world, at least the Western world, revolves around how many widgets we sell each month. It’s a depressing. OK, so I didn’t really think that there was a higher purpose than widgets. But I had this hope, this feeling in my deep recesses that perhaps there was something more. Then I thought, perhaps ministry is the best thing. They’re not selling anything. But then, why do churches fail? What if all the people in the church fail to meet their daily/monthly/yearly widget quota? Where would the church be (at least the church as we here in Western society see it)? The church would be sunk. Even the church depends on widget sales. The hermit life is looking better all the time.
